Pet Microchipping

Microchips are little electrical devices around the size of a grain of rice that sends identification information via radio waves. When a pet’s microchip is scanned, it displays a unique identification number. This number can be reported to the appropriate microchip company where the owners’ contact information is stored. Because microchips are made of a substance that is compatible with body tissues, rejection and infection at the injection site are uncommon.
